    WSOP Player of the Year

The year is steadily nearing the end which also means the final phases in annual “player of the year” races. Last year Daniel Negreanu made history by becoming WSOP Player of the Year for the second time. He’s high up the leaderboard (4th) this year, as well.

This year only the last event of the year will determine the winner as Brandon Shack-Harris and George Danzer are going neck and neck. Only 7 points separate two with Harris leading with 752.00 points who’s having his best poker year yet with his first bracelet in WSOP, 3 more final tables (all top 3) including runner-up to John Hennigan in $50,000 Players Championship. And two more cashes in this year’s WSOP.

Just behind him George Danzer has had a very impressive year, as well. Two bracelets, two more final table appearances in $10,000 events and three deep runs in smaller buy-in events.

Now it’s time for WSOP APAC where the winner of the race will be determined. It will kick off next week and run October 2-18th. All in all, there will be 10 events held in Crown Casino in Mel-bourne, Australia.
