Big day! Time for Main Event

  • Biggest time for the poker players - WSOP 2014 Main Event of the year. 6,683 entered but only 9 will survive to come back this November to claim $10 million 1st place prize.

  • As Day 1C has just ended, the numbers have been crunched, prizepool payouts have been announced and now all that remains is to start Day 2 and see who will emerge on top once the day ends.

    Are you ready for the biggest poker event of the year?

    Throughout three starting days of the $10,000 Main Event 6,683 entries were registered out of which 3,300 remaining and will enter Day 2. Like always, there is a massive prizepool exceeding $62 million. The event will feature the biggest 1st place prize since 2006 - $10 million.
    But that’s not exactly the big news. WSOP has advertised the $10 million first prize since the announcement of the schedule. However, they have just announced the full prizepool that will be shared by 693 players.

    As half of the Day 2 has gone, one of the widely known young poker players Martin Jacobson is third ion chips with 1,100 players remaining. Also, lower at the leaderboard are EPT 10 Barcelona winner Tom Middleton, legends Dan Kelly, Allen Cunningham, Johnny Chan, pros Kevin MacPhee, Erik Seidel, last year’s runner up Jay Farber, Antonio Esfandiari and dozens of other big names.
