Sunday Millions Anniversary, BPA, NBC Heads up 2014 and more

  • Last week Sunday Millions Anniversary took place online while in in London poker players gathered at British Poker Awards.

  • I know that we as poker players spend a lot of time indoors regardless whether we play live or online and weather rarely is significant to us but nevertheless, I’m still ecstatic that the winter finally over. And March kicks off with Sunday Millions Anniversary tournament and British Poker Awards.

    Sunday Millions $8 Million Anniversary

Another March brings poker players another anniversary Sunday Millions. $8 million guarantee was smashed by over 40,000 players that entered and boosted the prizepool to over $9 million.

    British Poker Awards

Liv Boeree, Victoria Coren, Sam Trickett, Tom Dwan, Daniel Negreanu…the list goes on and on...These poker players and many more notables gathered at British Poker Awards this Monday, March 3.

In total 18 awards were distributed with Sam Trickett claiming another Best Live Poker Player title as well as Pros’ Choice: Best Live Cash Player. World’s biggest online tournament player Chris Moorman claimed Best Online Poker Player (just like the last year), while Best International Poker Player title went to Daniel Negreanu.

Check out Pokernews for a detailed breakdown of the awards.

    NBC Heads-up Championship

As it has been recently announced, there is no NBC Heads-up Championship in 2014. Even the rumors before whispered that it is being planned, for unknown reasons it was confirmed that the event will not take place.

If you missed last year’s event, check out heads-up final between Mike Matusow and Phil Hellmuth. So, we are left to wait for 2015 and hope for the return.

And to end, I want to congratulate everyone from U.S. who was among ex-FTP players that got their money back last Friday. Around $82 million was distributed among approximately 30,000. So, there’s still $260 million left. If your money is still held by DOJ, we hope that soon enough you will get it back.
