Premier League VII and Delaware goes live

  • Party Poker Premier League VII is back. Changes in the structure make this amazing invitational event even tougher and with the current line-up of players there is going to be massive, top qualify poker action.

  • While there is a temporary hiatus between major live poker events, preparations are running hot. For example, invitational Party Poker Premier League in nearly filled up all 12 spots. Also, last week was historic for online poker in U.S. Delaware has become the second state to run online games.

    Welcome, Delaware

Here’s a piece of news, poker players have been waiting. Delaware becomes the second U.S. state after Nevada to offer online poker games. The steps may be small but we are moving forward.

However, the start has not been as smooth as poker players would have liked. There’s very little traffic (with peak of 24 players), no poker on mobile devices and lots of connection problems, especially for people close to Delaware border. But it pro.

Delaware, just like New Jersey that goes online on 26 November) offers not only online poker but a whole array of online gambling games. Maybe it’s only 3 out of 50 states but in 2014 many more are planning to offer intrastate online poker including California, New York and Illinois.

Party Poker Premier League is coming up

In a couple of weeks, 20-26 November Party Poker’s Premier League VII will run in Montreal. A bunch of old-time poker pros have already been confirmed however Party Poker will keep two names in secret to reveal later.

The ones that have been confirmed include Tony G, Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Laak, Jeff Gross, Vanessa Selbst, Sam Trickett, Johnathan Duhamel, Dan Shak, Daniel Cates and the most recent addition to the pack – WSOP 2012 Main Event winner Greg Merson.

Last year’s runner-up Sam Trickett will be looking to get his revenge against Dan Shak who did win last time but in Premier League no one is easy to beat. This year Premier League will have slight changes in their unique format. There will be 6 8-handed legs, every player will participate in four games.

Premier League will of course run along with WPT Montreal that will also guarantee lots of big stories.
