WSOP APAC update, Bitar pleads guilty

  • Phil Ivey is the chipleader in WSOP APAC event #3. Also Ray Bitar will plead guilty on 19 April to be able to have a heart surgery.

    Nuts of the Week

    Pokernews announced that Ray Bitar, former CEO player pleads guilty and that he is also in desperate need of a heart transplant. According to the surgeon, without the heart transplant best case scenario for Bitar is 6 to 12 months.

    WSOP Asia Pacific update

    Merbourne is buzzing at the moment as all the best poker players are here – Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth, Johnathan Duhamel, Daniel Negreanu, Sam Trickett, world series champion Joe Hachem and many others.

    3 events are over or almost over already with one starting just now. After that, the action is going to heat up even more as there are $10.000 Main Event, $50.000 buy-in High Roller and Ceasars Cup Invitational.

    Current Chip leader in the WSOP APAC Event 8-Game is Phil Ivey. Close enough there is also Daniel Negreanu. With only 11 players left we could see not only two of the biggest names in poker at the same Final Table but even Heads Up for the bracelet.

    Both of the poker players haven't won WSOP bracelets for a while so both will be doing everything to win.

    WSOP APAC Event 3 8-Game break chip counts:

    As Event 4 Has just started there are not much to say. Although, if you are curious who was the first to exit this WSOP APAC Event 4 No-Limit Hold'em Six Handed – it's is the One Drop winner, the Magician Antonio Esfandiari. Very unfortunate was Sam Trickett who joined the rail as well short after.

    Ceasars Cup Invitational

    Do you have a sports team you support? It is a This is just like that in poker. Ceasars Cup Invitation event is the last tournament of the series. It starts on 14 April and three teams will clash – Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas.

    As we already wrote, the captains for each team Phil Ivey, Sam Trickett and Joe Hachem had to pick three more players to join them in the game.
