Premier League VI action is heating up

  • Premier League VI is in its midst. Currently, 3 rounds of Group A games out of four has been over and the things are very interesting here.

    Pokerstars player Liv Boeree and Kevin MacPhee break up after 2 years

    The news of the day include a very unhappy relationship end for probably the hottest poker player couple Liv Boeree and Kevin McPhee. They were often seen playing together, with the most recent recorded a week ago in EPT London.

    Life does not stop here so you have to move on. And if you don't, you become one more reason why using social networking is bad when you are heartbroken. This is what MacPhee whrote a day ago on twitter:

    And it get's nastier.

    After another poker player Marc-Andre Ladoucer tweeted this picture (above) saying that he had found a leprechaun in Ireland, MacPhee tweets this:

    Break-ups are hard and I this case it is even harder as this summer the couple has split up for a short period at this year's WSOP. Hopefully, the heart of MacPhee will heal soon. And the moral of the story is, whatever happens, when you are hurt try to stay away from Twitter!

    Premier League VI is halfway through

    Durrrr's challenger on Full Tilt Poker, Daniel Cates was the big winner on the round 2 of Group A and is now on the second place on overall leaderboard. With two more rounds to go in this group and with only 8 places overall at the Final Table, the competition is about to get very fierce.

    As you remember, Group A features the likes of Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Hellmuth, Sam Trickett and Johnathan Duhamel but only 3 players will get an instant transfer to 8-seated Final Table while 4th and 5th places in each group will battle

    heads-up for the last two remaining spots.

    Group A Round 2

    Current Group A leader is Johnathan Duhamel with impressive performances in both group rounds - 1st and 2nd place finishes. He is followed by Dan 'Jungleman' Cates who has 18 Points after 7th (2 points) place in the first round and the win (16 points) in the second.

    As consistent as Duhamel is another Pokerstars pro Daniel Negreanu who scooped 3rd and 4th finishes and now has 14 Points. And there is a certain Sam Trickett just behind with 13 Points (Second place finish in the first round and a 7th place in the second).

    Group A Round 3

    It just got extremely interesting. Before this, both Antonio Esfandiari and Scott Seiver were very close to being refused chances of getting to the finals. After both finish on Top in the Round 3 of the Group A, they have closed the gap to 5 points between 2nd and 8th places.

    This will be a tight match tomorrow!
