EPT London Day 3 has just begun, today the bubble bursts

  • There is tons of action on and off the felt this week. FTP vs Pokersars Challenge is over while one of the old ones may return - Durrrr Challenge.

  • As the week goes on, EPT London has reached its midst – bubble day. There are very few noticeable names left in the player-pool but you might know the likes of Liv Boeree and Pokerstars vs Full Tilt Poker challenger Viktor Blom. There is some more news about the participator of the same challenge as Tom Dwan has been called out on Twitter by another professional poker player – Dan Cates to finish off the Durrrr Challenge.

    Nuts of the Week:

FTP Professionals vs Pokerstars Challenge ended in complete win by Team Pokerstars. All nine heads up matches were won by Daniel Negreanu, Isaac Haxton and Bertrand Grosspellier.

    Return of Durrrr challenge?

In the good ol' days when online poker was booming, rising poker star tom Dwan issued a challenge. He will play anyone (except Phil Galfond) Head-up at Hold'em or Omaha. After 50.000 hands the winner claims his winnings plus $500.000 if the winner is Dwan and $1.5 million if Dwan loses.

After the Black Friday the High stakes poker action stopped but now Full Tilt Poker has been relaunched, many professional not-FTP sponsored poker players have been playing high stakes on the site (Patrik Antonius, Phil Ivey).

Yesterday online poker community was on its feet after one of the challengers has called out to finish what they have stared.

Dan Cates is up by $1.2 million after 20.000 hands of 200/400 games. There were some pretty interesting tweets that followed the shout out:

What can you make of it? I guess it is only between the poker pros to know but hopefully the challenge will be resolved soon enough.
